By using Strōq (the "Service"), you agree to these terms and accept our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use our Service. Strōq is provided by Atropical AS, a Norwegian company.
Strōq is a web-based application for indoor rowing data visualization that connects to compatible Bluetooth rowing devices to display real-time metrics and force curve analysis. The Classic views are free. The World and Map views, multiplayer sessions and unlocking a Classic workout's full detail use credits (see Credits and Payments). The Service is intended for personal use; gyms and venues can buy larger packs for their members.
All content on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, code, and software, is owned by Atropical AS and protected by Norwegian and international copyright laws. You may view and use the Service for personal use, but you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission.
Training Restrictions: Any use of our content, including but not limited to text, images, code, design patterns, user interface elements, algorithms, metadata, or any other materials from this website or Service, for the purpose of training, fine-tuning, or developing artificial intelligence systems, large language models, machine learning models, neural networks, or any other automated learning systems is expressly forbidden without our prior written consent.
Comprehensive Coverage: This restriction applies to all forms of machine learning, including supervised learning, unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and any other AI/ML methodologies, whether conducted by individuals, organisations, companies, or automated systems.
Data Collection: Automated collection, scraping, crawling, or harvesting of our content for AI training purposes is prohibited. This includes but is not limited to web scraping, API usage, or any other automated data collection methods.
Enforcement: Violation of this provision constitutes a breach of these terms and may result in legal action. We reserve the right to pursue all available legal remedies, including injunctive relief and damages.
You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code or underlying algorithms of the Service. You may not attempt to derive the source code, techniques, algorithms, or processes embodied in the Service, or create derivative works based on the Service.
You agree to use the Service responsibly and in compliance with all applicable laws. You must not:

One credit covers one World or Map workout of any length, one multiplayer session (as host or guest), or unlocking one Free Classic workout's full detail. Exporting a .FIT file of a workout done with credits (or unlocked) needs an account with credits, but spends none. The credit is spent when the first stroke or step of the workout is recorded; demo mode is free. If a session drops, you can rejoin it free within 15 minutes, and one session lasts at most 3 hours.
New accounts get 3 free credits. Credits are sold in packs; prices are shown in the app in euro and include VAT. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details. Credits are added to your account as soon as the payment goes through.
Credits last 12 months from the day they were added; the oldest are spent first. Unused credits expire after that. Credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money. Credits are tied to your account, cannot be transferred to another account. If you delete your account, its credits are deleted with it.
If your machine drops out in the first 5 minutes of a workout and does not come back, the app gives the credit back, once every 30 days. Credits given back last 12 months from that day.
If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA (Norway included), you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal (angrerett) for an online purchase. Credits are digital content, added to your account at once. Before you pay, the app asks you to tick a box saying: "By purchasing these credits, you accept that they are added to your account straight away and that the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply." You cannot buy credits without ticking it. Once the credits are added, the right of withdrawal ends and the purchase is not refunded.
After each purchase you get an email confirming what you bought, the price, the date, when the credits expire and the box you ticked. Your statutory rights when something Atropical supplies is faulty are not affected. The seller is Atropical, Norway (hey-ho@atropical.no).
If you were charged by mistake or the credits never reached your account, write to us at hey-ho@atropical.no and we will put it right.
Without an account, or without consent to store workouts, a summary of each workout is kept only in your browser and never reaches our servers; if you clear your browser data, it is gone. With an account, your workouts and profile are stored in Strōq, on our servers, so they are available on every device you sign in on. How long each part is kept, and how to remove it, is set out in the Privacy Policy. We are not liable for the loss of data kept only in your browser.
We strive to provide accurate information and reliable service, but we cannot guarantee that the Service is always current, complete, or error-free. Metrics displayed are dependent on the accuracy of connected devices. The Service is not intended for medical, professional training, or competitive purposes. Always consult with a healthcare provider before beginning any exercise program.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services (including device manufacturer websites and Discord). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of service of those external sites.
All trademarks, service marks, logos, and trade names displayed on the Service are the property of Atropical AS or their respective owners. Nothing in these terms grants you any right to use any trademark, service mark, logo, or trade name without prior written permission.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ATROPICAL AS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these terms. Upon termination, all rights granted to you will immediately cease.
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically.
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Atropical AS regarding the use of the Service.

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Norway. By using the Service, you consent to the personal jurisdiction of Norwegian courts.
